MAJ : OCP pour la 7970 avec la R4E

Voilà, c’est soudé, enfin pour rappel, j’ai un niveau débutant en soudure :P
Je chope de l’azote jeudi et re-benchs ce samedi avec ce vmod et la Rampage IV Extreme !

Pt1t nous dévoile sur son blog la manière d’utiliser la Rampage IV Extreme et ses résistances variables directement intégrées à la carte mère afin de vmodder la HD7970 !
C’est Shamino qui dévoile (enfin) comment activer cette option :)

Le premier avantage, c’est que vous ne devrez réaliser que deux soudures et relativement facile.
Je mets la démarche en anglais avant de l’essayer cette semaine et de vous donner mon avis.

First solder red and black headers to VGA card. The headers will be later on plug into MB. (After boot)

Les différentes étapes :

1. Do Not plug in the header before boot.
2. After Boot and go into OS, plug in header.
3. Open Digipower CNTRL (install from CD).

1. You can set load line, Switching Freq, OCP, it will be set with the CPU’s vcore, so suggest set LL Extreme, Switching Freq 500 to 800, disable OCP (this will also be used for the VGA Vcore).

2. If you also wanna adjust vcore of VGA, u can open up Turbo V and adjust the CPU Vcore together with the VGA vcore. VGA vcore will be 100mv lesser than what you set on the CPU. For eg, 1.40 will give 1.30 on VGA.

3. After adjust and ready to bench remove header. Settings hould be kept even at reset unless you shutdown.

4. Do not have the header plugged in at boot as it will make the system stop booting.
